Status Updates From Ulysses

The first chapter was absolutely incredible, a masterclass in prose and stream of consciousness, and I can't wait to see what else ol Jimmy has in store for me.

I intended to read this in 30-ish-page daily portions, and even put cute little stickers at the end of each section to reward myself... but after reading a very graphic depiction of a man pooping ("yielding but resisting," very well [and grossly] put, Mr. Joyce), I think I'm done for today.

Love the cat, though. Leapt right off the page and mrkgnao'd in my ear.
