Some stories are amazing - both the horrific crashes and the emerging science of why they happened, AND the stories of the non-disasters that could have been catastrophic. Truly weird bits, like BA 268 from Los Angeles to London ... whose pilots elected to fly the whole flight after one engine blew out just 300 feet off the departure runway - apparently to save money - and limped all the way to Manchester.

The chapter on combustion was really interesting AND mentioned the Transportation Safety Board of Canada a lot.

Amazing that a flight crew was able to land a plane with no hydraulic controls!

Now that's a scary thought for planes... "explosive decompression".
