The last place I read about was Machu Picchu: Fabulous Inca Citadel. I can connect to this place because last summer my friends went there and told me all about it. It says "Only from the nearby hilltop observatory of Intipunku can the visitor realize the full extent of Machu Piccu's colossal conception".(142) I remember them saying they had to hike for hours and got attitude sickness to get to this same observatory.

I'm enjoying my book because I have never read an atlas like this. The style of writing is very informational. It is just the cold hard facts like an article. It is also written like a list. It talks about each place one at a time. The place I just finished is Nasca: The patterns of Peru.It says these patterns have been "untouched since 500 BC".(100) How could these patterns not be washed out by rain, wind or people?
