Status Updates From Italian Shoes

Two chapters in...

I just saw a tweet where someone says people are reading dialogue and skipping prose and that is a signal of the reading level of adults of today. Prolly a reader who adopted reading as an adult since they complain about not being able to see the scenes in their minds. I say this because I am reading to an elderly person and the way her mind just builds the scenes and she feeds back to me how she's on the same page

I am not done with my other read, but that one is hard to read for her the way I did with La Petite Fille de Monsieur Lihn because it is about a person who is not only annoying but some things are just not stuff I want to tell an aging person. Too much debauchery going on. This one is about another old person who is 64, so right up her alley and she is hooked already but we only managed to get through two full pages
