Jedes Kapitel endet mit einem Absatz voller "Aber zu dem Zeitpunkt wusste ich noch nicht, was auf mich zukam" Müll und es gibt mir das dringende Bedürfnis Seiten auszureißen

"Was das wohl zu bedeuten hat?" *5 Sätze vergehen* "Sie weiß nicht was gleich passieren wird. Und ich auch nicht" *5 Sätze vergehen* "Und gleich wird alles nur noch schlimmer." KOMM. ZUM. PUNKT.

So... The whole story has come to nothing, except the only way to stop an apocalypse is to accept John's advances? Baby.

"Honey, some boys stopped by to see you. They had wood!"

At least it's quick to plough through

HOLD. THE. PHONE. ... This conversation about Kayla's breasts is exactly the same as one in Lauren Kate's Fallen (2009). Like literally, the character says people call her a skank for having large breasts and that she wants a breast reduction so her knees don't bang them when she's riding a bike

Seriously, the quotes from Inferno actually have no relevance to what happens in these chapters. It's not deep or edgy, it's just trying too hard.

Why is does the main character spend so much time eluding to stories of her past like they're so deep but has no intention of explaining any of them. "I'm so deep and tortured, pick me!!!"

Are we really doing that thing where each chapter starts with an excerpt of classic literature and pretending it's so deep?
