Status Updates From Ascension Theology

Ch 4: A Question of Identity, is a profound theological analysis of modern day politics, led in part by the obfuscation of the human Jesus (really) risen and ascended, and the corresponding conflation of Christ with Man/Church/Cosmos in “Enlightenment triumphalism”, what Farrow calls the “doctrine of progress” and “ascent of Man”. It is a trenchant and prophetic critique, in my opinion.
