Penny’s writing style is unique and takes a while to get used to. The cliched toxic relationship was unsettling, almost like a version of one of the super dark mafia romances that actually happens in real life? Neurodivergent character traits are never addressed, interesting angle. I didn’t really like much of the story so I’m not sure why I liked the book but ended up reading the first two back to back.
