I think part of the reason Superromances don’t often resonate with me is that they tend to be American country and I’m European city and our lives are so different. Two million dollars in 2006 in Kentucky probably was a life-changing amount of money, unless you’re into horses. Two million dollars in London in 2023 is like, a nice apartment. Not luxury, but nice. Or a really nice house outside London.
