It is honestly not the closure that I was expecting but it is still a great read. (Planning to explore more of Stolz works.)

This is a really great and touching novel, but there are certainly vivid and dull moments as though it's just to bridge the gap between the before and after. It's also starting to seem like Stolz uses illnesses to her advantage - the bridging thing.

I can't help but see a little bit of Anne Frank's story here. Fanny & Sue's family are letting relatives stay at their home and their food are scarce and everything. I don't understand why this is happening. It's the 1930s and WWII is still a decade away. It feels like I need to study the American history first before getting a sense and grip of what is happening. I hope Stolz fleshes this out.

Enjoying the descriptions of life during the depression and the relationship between twin girls. Like Karen Stolz writing style
