Status Updates From A Pocket Book of Short Stories

I enjoyed all the characters in “Disorder and Early Sorrow,” but I feel like it was too long with too little actual substance.

“Bliss”… My first instinct is to say I didn’t much like it, but after a moment’s consideration… I suppose it’s alright. Not great, but at least good.

“Seeds” was… eh. The prose made it difficult for me to understand what exactly the author was getting at.

I very much enjoyed “Big Blonde.” “Paul’s Case” started off strong, but sort of lost my interest near the end.

I really liked the second one — The Devil and Daniel Webster. I’m halfway through the third, Big Blonde, and I’m enjoying that one too, although it’s a bit long for my liking. Not as easy to read in one sitting.

Had to skip the first one, “The Killers” because the dialogue made no sense to me and the overabundance of the N word was uncomfortable to read.
