More interesting! Leaders of both the Cherokee & Mingoes at Wabash were American captives who had risen to leadership. At least one family from Kentucky had brothers on opposing sides in the battle. So many American officers were foreign--Canadian, Irish, French etc. Gen Harmar gloomily encourages his former aide-de-camp that "some will escape, and you may be among the number." This six weeks before the engagement!

Little exercise of a narrative voice in this book.
