I loved watching Gone With the Wind for the first time in the movie theater - so reading this book has been a totally enjoyable experience!! Through reading this book I have learned how the story came to be, how it went about getting published, and the crazy long hours of work and effort it took for Margaret, her husband and to get this book to the finish line! No wonder she never wrote another book.

I have absolutely enjoyed reading this book!! This book provides insight into how the story came to be a book and movie. I enjoy learning how Peggy came to write the book, how they corresponded (since phone calls could be a challenge) and how the movie came to be. Also loved learning how the publishing world worked at that time. Additionally, I learned they worked hard to ensure the books' facts were accurate.
