I really wanted to like this. It has such a good reputation as a classic. I even started reading it on the eve of Winter Solstice and have been reading chapters as they match up with the timeframe in the book. But… it’s so slow and plodding. I just can’t stay engaged. It is feeling more like a burden to hold on and finish the book. I’m putting this in my DNF.
