Status Updates From L'autunno del patriarca

I love this author and have read a few works of his. The language is beautiful but why all the run on sentences? I can’t finish it.

Realizing now that I should have written down what happened in the novel for every time I updated my progress, since this book's Wikipedia page doesn't have it, and I wouldnt remember everything that went down by the time I finish. Then again, so much happens in this book that I might have needed to either write down 10 events each update, or updated every time I flipped a page.
