John Ortberg likens the transformative path of Christ to sailing. Sailors can’t make the wine show up; the wind has a mind of its own. But that doesn’t mean there is nothing for them to do … be alert and ready to catch the breeze or fake, hoist and trim the sails, cooperate with whatever breath of wind comes their way…

Transformation and healing always begin in a place of desire. There needs to be some deep inner willingness to take a risk on Jesus and begin again and again.

Pur culture invited us to experience everything! If we fail to take advantage of it all, we think we are missing out.

Invitations assure us that we are wanted, welcomed, and included.

Invitations shape who we know, where we go, what we do and who we become.
