It seems like this is going to be a quick read. So far, all I’m really getting are anecdotes about each presidential debate that the author moderated. He recounts the excitement and tension well. But, the book is severely lacking in analysis, aside from a few sentences about how each debate moment might have influenced election outcomes.

So far, I like the subject and author’s reflective storytelling style. I expect to get through this one quickly.

I’m a bit nervous about the high number of mid-tier reviews, though. To be fair, I heard about this book years ago on a podcast I don’t listen to anymore… Starting this book with an open mind and healthy skepticism.
