Poor Violet, I know how tough it is to have a loved one whose in inpatient, and I can totally understand the stress she’s feeling. The first time I went to see my sister in the hospital my hands were shaking the whole ride there. I know it’s not the same as having your mom in the hospital but still, I feel for Violet.

When I first read this, I couldn’t really understand Violet’s feelings about her mom being in a mental hospital. Now that I’m older, I sort of understand. My little sister was hospitalized for her depression, and I remember how life shattering it felt. At least I was in high school when it happened, Violet can’t be more than 11/12...
