Status Updates From The Palliser Chronicles Col...

Ok, so I haven't finished the entire book, just the first novel, Can You Forgive Her. However, I feel like I just scaled Mt. Everest, so I may have to add Can You Forgive Her? so I have the satisfaction of tapping "Finished?" Also, I could write a review just for that story.

P. 743. Within the last 150 pages or so, another man reveals himself to not be the jerk I thought him to be. Yay for 2 likeable characters!

P. 555. Only 300 more to go.

P. 416. Not even at the halfway mark. I don't think I have ever read a single book this long! (Except the Bible... but even that is 66 books!)

P. 374. John Grey.... I love him, so!! This book needs a hero!

I've been having a hard time figuring out how long this 1st novel (Can You Forgive Her?) is. Hard to tell since there are 6 novels in this one ebook. However, when looking up the individual book on gr, I found out: around 850 pages!

I guess the story is not wrapping up soon as I have been thinking. I am only on p. 346. I am not sure if I can handle 500 more pages of stupid decisions.

P.191 and finally at 5%. XD. This first book (Can You Forgive Her?) bounces back and forth between terribly boring to incredibly engaging. My father-in-law tells me to persevere, but I keep sending him texts along the lines of, "Why was chapter ___ even necessary??"

Yep, despite being on page 166 now, I am still only at 4%.

Yeesh. With cousins like these, who needs enemies?!

Now that I am past the extensive character building beginning, I am finally enjoying this story, which my father-in-law so vehemently recommended to me. On page 76 of over 4,000 pages! This might take a while....
