At least nothing traumatising in this last story, even though I'm not sure what the waffling words were about.

Another story that follows the pattern of the way a woman is taught to behave, into a relationship that seems good, and then turns abusive. There's rather a lot of that in this collection. :/

I've seen many people write various stories based on Jane Eyre, but this one almost seemed unrelated as the French woman focused almost solely on a small girl called Adele.

I really couldn't read this, between the violence, language and the tone of a child talking about men using women for sex.

A long story about unrequited love between a woman and her cousin and also the same woman and George Sand. At the end, they two end up together leaving the woman, Guilia, alone.
