I mean dogs do decent from wolves. So naturally they will act like one.
As the author states, both wolves and dogs do in fact; dig, chase, bark, eat, growl, howl, jump up, lick, instinctive mount, attack etc...
This is a seriously informative book for all dog owners 🦴

The author an actual animal behaviourist is right when he said that the man who locked his dog in a dark cupboard to starve for a day, is only going to try and escape to safety when the cupboard is opened. They are practically teaching their dogs to fear them.

I’m not going to quote what every asshole trainers does with dogs. All I can say is it’s F***ing wrong!!! Last year when we did animal behaviour we were taught that negative reenforcement is NOT a good idea.
Don’t make your dog stand within a group of a aggressive dogs and then yank yours when it defends itself, you will get it hurt or frighten it.
Has these trainers ever heard of clicker training?

“On the same day I was told about another trainer who demonstrated a method of stopping a dog from going upstairs. He allowed the dog to go up there, picked up its body and threw it down again. The dog hit its head on a radiator and was knocked unconscious”
