This is not a spoiler but I literally read the line "Watching me jack into my eye and still talking to me like a person." and had a heart attack. It took me around 20 whole minutes and a change of scenery to remember this character has an outlet/socket in his eye and jack is another word for plug. He was connecting a plug/cable to his eye to view his memories. This is NOT Heated Rivalry.
