I’m kinda pissed to say the movie was better… and the movie fell off so hard I’m fearful this is gonna be the same chat

Well they swapped two characters in the movie and as it turns out my favorite scene/plot line doesn’t exist in the book. This is written very strangely chapters are like 3-4 pages max. And it pays so much less attention to the wilderness than I thought. The start was completely different than the movie and honestly I like the movie more rn. It’s going so quick I’m nervous what’s going to happen

I'll say this: I preferred the first half to the second half. I think the first half was more what I expected and what I wanted out of this book and the second half just seems like its prolonging the inevitable while also being a little boring. Like its not bad but I want more to happen. Or something else to happen idk

The descriptive writing is so so good. It was such an immersive reading experience. I felt that I was actually part of the group that was struggling in the forest. But for now I’m just curious why the ancient “being” have not killed Luke yet.

"The hope that somehow these young people would recognize some common humanity they shared with the dirty wounded man from the forest, and that upon recognizing that he was a good person, they would let him go." Lowkey I could write a she essay about this exact topic because, unironically, I've thought the same.

I just know its going to get more and more disturbing

I have watched this movie and know what happens and I am STILL on the edge of my seat with anxiety.
