Unintentionally reading two books in one month featuring a generation ship as the main setting, and people kind of losing their collective memory/history. This book is sort of weird so far with this weird emphasis on aggression and Freudian psychology as a kind of religion. My guess: it will be explained as an intentional social engineering strategy to help the crew members persist, or something like that.
