Status Updates From Bonjour tristesse

this writing kind of reminds me of elena ferrante

already made it this far so i guess i'll be finishing it, but even though i've tried and tried, i'm not really feeling this book. i can't connect with any of these characters, and beneath the pretty writing all i see is a very shallow and underdeveloped work. sucks because i had high expectations for this :(
