Status Updates From De Kapellekensbaan

The author is starting to acknowledge what a jumble of ideas this book is.

The journalist becomes a house painter then a weekly contributor. The ac guy so painter goes to Spain to work for an industrialist while Franco is in power. The author keeps writing about the swindle that the village woman is trying to pull by getting her dad to build the villas at the edge of the woods.

So in the inner story the tricky lady managed to secure a job for her father building four new homes on the edge of the woods, which he is not qualified to do. The author’s friends generally disapprove of his choices in forming the story, especially his journalist friend.

There’s a background story about a fox and his uncle wolf. There are so many story lines running at once.

So there’s a writer character that is addressed in the second person and then some chapters are in italics and those are what the writer character is composing. It’s a bit hard to keep track of who is speaking because the book doesn’t care about punctuation.

So far this book does not like playing by the rules.
