Crying over Colonel Edgar J. Treacy's death in a CCF POW camp. He was left behind and captured at the battle of Chipyong-Ni. His death stemmed from his generous giving of his rations to other men in the camp. His men wanted to put him in for the Medal of Honor and Colonel Marcel Crombez blocked the furtherance of the nomination, citing insubordination on Treacy's part. I'm going to dig further. Just finished the Chosin battle section. I'm tempted to go over to Halberstam's book and read up to this same point but I think I'll press on and make comparisons later.
