Bane's secret origin. Too much exposition, so little of Batman.

He stared into the darkness of that pit and became a part of it.
And he purged fear from his heart.
And he survived.

Hatred gave him the strength to hold on
Hatred and the promise of the man he would become

And in all those days he heard no voice but his own
Wielded into a five by ten foot cell

They could not confine his mind
In his mind he traveled beyond his tomb

The blood of your father. The world is yours and will be yours one day. Men will be like cattle before you. Like sheep.

For only the few may rule the many, and you are of one rare breed. Only one danger stands in the way of you mastering the world.

The fear that lies at the heart. Only this can keep you from what is yours.

But the boy..He knew no other place. He learned every hidden corner of Pena Duro. Every secret. It was here he learned of life. And at a far too tender age learned of other things.

By the boy's sixth year his mother had given up all life. She could not survive hidden from the sun. And so far from God.

The boy would not allow himself a tear. He had become as hard as this place. His mother was weak. For that she died

A woman, heavy with child, was brought to this place. Her unborn child would be charged with the crimes of his father...Only a male child could serve the sentence of the father. And he was born a male child. Born to a life, and a life sentence. Behind the walls of Pena Duro. But this is not the story of how Bane was born. It is the story of his creation.
