So tricky to read books about teenagers and not get irritated by their actions

lol this made me realize i’d never survive the Middle Ages. ppl were way too judgmental and full of religious hypocrisy 😐

this reminds me of Deerskin by Robin Mckinley — a dark, beautifully written YA that is disturbing and tough to read, and a heroine who endures so much 😅

when will he die 🙂

it still blows my mind that, in the past, people who were deaf or had epilepsy were treated as ‘demon-possessed’ instead of patients. so much unnecessary suffering came from pure misunderstanding 😔
