This was the section that I really picked this book up for and am glad to see fleshed out. Training was actually really handled well and gave me good ideas.

Bed and bowl measurements were good in this chapter. That was about it.

The only part I liked here was the part on communication styles. Too much n this chapter was comparing too much to real dogs.

Roles are covered in this. I didn’t much like the roles exploration as I thought it was a bit on the light side and incomplete. Mindset not really focused in yet. It also has different areas of possible early training.

This section looks into why one may be motivated to pick up one or the other of these roles. Included at the end are a bunch of letters written in with diverse opinions plus a longer one from an Australian at the end.

A lot of this was fairly self explanatory. However I liked the bit that made me think of safe words when words and typical gestures are not necessarily available.
