Reading the titular story, with the daughter who nobly and patiently bears a previously loving father's attempts to force her to marry someone she doesn't want, the maid placed with her to spy and intercept her letters, her fear of a father's curse... Mary Shelley for sure was a Clarissa fan, right? *googles* She was, read it multiple times in multiple languages, I knew I wasn't just seeing things. It's everywhere.

The Swiss Peasant: five stars, there really was a Swiss peasant

The Transformation: five stars, he did transform into a little goblin man

The Mortal Immortal: five stars. Is he mortal or immortal? The question is never answered so the title just says both. Genius move.

The Dream: four stars, she did have a dream but the story skipped over it and then had her recall it so gotta dock one star for that

The Brother and Sister: five stars, they really were brother and sister

The Invisible Girl: Zero stars, she was visible the whole time.
