What I like about Murakami is that you have no way of knowing where the plot in his books will go next. If it was any lesser writer that might seem like a drag but I never got that feeling with him. And for a book that is usually treated as an add-on for the third book in this series, I’m still curious about where the plot will take the protagonist.
