The stories are entertaining, full of caricatures and archetypes, there are no surprises. The good guys are handsome, the bad guys are ugly, and there is always a young lady to be rescued.
And now, I will never read Louis Lamour without thinking of Willie Nelson. His narration is spot on and ideal for these stories. an added bonus is that he plays guitar in between the tales!!

Jed is a good guy, stumbles on a murder scene and takes on the identity of Michael Latch. Keeps Michaels ranch from falling in to the hands of evil Wilt (?)
A story for sergio leone to turn in to a movie!
