Status Updates From So Far from the Bamboo Grove

yoko and her family are playing dead to not get killed while also trying to get away from the war.

yoko and her mother and big sister go on a train to escape war but leaves there brother behind due to him having to work they get bombed on the hospital train making them run to safety. there trying to survive with rice and dried fish.

so far this 11 year old girl and her family are trying to survive war with japan and america. Yoko the girl is talking about her story on the war she talks about all the things she had to do while being in war. so far i know that she is still taking her learning classes even tho she just wants to be home with her family her father works in the arm so hes not there with them.

just got this book so i haven't read it but i think its about a sad story on a family trying to make it threw war.
