This book has a lot more about gardens in it than I expected, which is lovely

I amazed that the two main characters still have not spoken to each other!

I’m often amazed by the capacity of my 5 and 7 year olds to sit enraptured through pages of description. There is an entire chapter in this book which is a detailed description of a garden at night/dawn and this presented no problem for them.
