Chapter 22 - Talcott talks to is father in-law about why the Judge borrowed a gun from him. Madison, his father-in-law, says the judge was scared.

Chapter 23 - Talcott runs into cousin Salley at the hotel. She tells him that see remembers seeing McDermott at the judges house on Shepard Street.

Mariah still believes someone killed the judge and is going thru the judges attic to find clues. Her husband is worried about her.

Where should I begin so much has happened. Talcott is in Washington DC talking to a liberal associate Supreme Court justice Wallace Warrenton Wainwright who was a friend to the Judge, Tal's father. Tal is attempting to get more information about his father's relationship with Jack Zeigler. Also, he wants to find out if his father was a corrupt justice that ruled in cases based on money or friendship.
