Slow read, but the new vocab has significantly diminished. I read this at the same pace as my English course literature now which is a huge achievem.
My projections say the rem. vocab in this book alone is enough to get me fluent, although I'm highly skeptical of that. The audiobooks I've been listening to intermittently in Afr. appear significantly more 'lucid' now.

Holy shit I have met all my goals in Afrikaans for the week.
Read the first 10 lessons of this book, check.
Learn 500 words per day, slightly above even.
Work down the unknown word count to less than 10k in any book, check.
My goal for this month is to reach 25,000 known words in Afrikaans, so far I've gone from 4,674 to 6,203!!!
Only 19k left!!! Gonna aim for 8k known by Monday!!!
