I am learning a lot from this book. However, I think the biggest lesson might be how much we don't know. There have been so many revisions of previous theories and new evidence coming through DNA research that it seems best to "learn" what we have discovered about human development without drawing hard and fast conclusions too quickly.

Hundreds of thousands of years of human history and development I knew nothing about! Well, until recently, no one did. This is an astounding and dense survey of our species' early days and developing theories as to who grew into what and where. Not an "easy read" but most definitely fascinating.

My daughter lent me this book, saying that it's very informative. I hope to gain insight into the human condition and perhaps my daughter's thinking.
