Painfully dated and feels very contemptuous toward any divergences from Faderman’s position on lesbianism; I don’t like her lens or how she takes examples out of context to push her strict definition of lesbianism (as opposed to female homosexual activity at large). Cherry picking this book for interesting bits and throwing salt at the rest.
