Status Updates From Mr. Impossible

And “she tore of the veils she despised but had to wear in public”

And,
“Egypt’s ottoman rulers would be home in Dark Ages. Beheadings, beatings, tortures…”

All of course very different from what the civilised English were doing in India 🙃

Oh god. The hero is of course “taller than the locals”. He’s also rich and “the locals who valued well dressed individuals noticed it.”

I should extend my dislike of reading anything set in Colonial India (unless written by Indians) to all colonies 🙃

But this is Loretta chase so I’m going to stick around and see if it gets better

I'm about to throw this book against the wall.

This book is such a slow burn, but it is so intriguing! I can't wait to see where Daphne and Rupert go next and what they find.
