Everything is pretty much resolved, sans the Maria plotline. Tom is an interesting every man character.

This book has gotten significantly more interesting, both with the Maria plotline and the house plotline. Also, Tom and his boss debating mental health constantly like it’s a debate topic with money involved and not a real issue that affects shows that some things haven’t changed at all

the prose and straightforward narrative is the real redeeming quality of this book so far. Tom’s characterization is extremely interesting, and he is a very typical man for the time. For that reason, he fascinates me. The women feel flat to me but I honestly think this is because it is filtered through Tom’s perspective.
