This book is hard to read. The writing style comes off elementary. The characters aren’t relatable because of the way they talk to each other and about each other. The names of all the children in the book are named after their father.

Father: Shaun
Daughter: Shauntae
Son: Lil’ Shaun
Son: Sha’Ron

Now imagine all of them talking at the same time or being talked about. It’s confusing

It jumped right into the mess of things and now im just feeling like the whole story is about to be about her cleaning up past issues. But i’m still engaged.
