Calling it: Miles dies destroying the Incarnate, Harper becomes the next Argonaut, Anthony and Peggy become her first mates, they all travel the universe forever.

Feels like every threat or setback Harper encounters is quickly resolved by some external force before it can impose any meaningful stakes. It diminishes her usefulness and agency as a protagonist when the Argonaut or her future self are solving all her problems for her.

Barely started and I'm already kinda bummed that this is essentially Doctor Who fanfic with the serial numbers filed off. The book jacket summary didn't exactly hide this, but this is less of a homage as described and more something that could easily be passed off as Doctor Who if you rearranged a few proper nouns. That's not inherently a bad thing, but I think I'd rather just watch Doctor Who.
