I think that Meiko should have a more nuanced opinion of her father. Like this girl IMMEDIATELY turned to hatred, and while i definitely don’t disagree that reaction is absolutely warranted, I just feel like she WOULDN’T react like that. Her chopped stinky dad was the only person in her life for the last twenty years and I just think it should’ve been handled with a bit more nuance by whatevs he was evils

I guessed this plot twist meaning im a genius. I really like this book I feel like sometimes men are cartoonishly evil but like i fully can see this shit happening and it’s kind of hits home for me. I do think the prose is trying extra hard to be poetic but like it’s fine
