Why are bats not mentioned at all in the main mammal section, but river otters are. I mean no offense to the otters, but never even knew we had them. But we have many bats everywhere.

This book is accessible and well-written. I mean, they were able to slip in “No one puts baby in a corner” in a paragraph about the Pleistocene! 😆

“This book reimagines the concept of nature to include the wild things and wild places that we can find right in the city where we live. And rather than being a take of woe, this book is about hope.”
I love it already!
