I’ve read ‘Ping’ by Samuel Beckett, which was evocative and anxious but made little sense to me and just now, ‘Mysterious Kôr’ by Elizabeth Bowen which was arrestingly beautiful, mysterious and tense. it was about a moonlight night in london during the blackouts of the war and how it was transformed by the strange mystical moonlight to something other: Kôr. one of my favourites so far.

Finished 1st short story ‘Strange Comfort Afforded By The Profession’ by Malcolm Lowry.
Interesting story about a writer in Rome visiting the home of Keats and taking notes. Chock full of references of other writers, their works, their lives and lots about Poe. I have a page full of things (including words i didn’t understand) to look up.
