That cliffhanger ending had me SCREAMING because I didn't expect that at all. What did Jacob even do to this man? He wasn't even the one at fault. I do wish there was more dialogue and action between the characters though. There seems to be a lot more internal dialogue instead? I would also like more spicy scenes between Jacob/Catherine. This book felt different from Amelia's usual works but I still liked it overall.

Catherine/Jacob is an interesting couple and he's definitely losing his mind. I hope he gets the help he needs. I actually do like their relationship though! I did feel like I should have read previous books because I still don't know how Jacob saved Catherine but I could infer from their conversations. Gabriel and Elise's story is a must read. Also, Jameson and Lily are married?! I need to read their book too lol.

Jacob and Catherine? What an unexpected couple but I totally dig it. I’m rooting for them. I also think Jacob is going insane because of all the guilt from past events. He just doesn’t think that he deserves happiness. Catherine is simply precious and so young. I can’t wait to see how her relationship with Jacob will develop even more. They’re a cute couple.
