Shadow, feels like the kind of story where it’s the reverse of “don’t bite the hand that feeds you”

Ooh the mirror mirror story was trippy as. Really makes you reflect on what you want in life and how you want to achieve it, pun intended.

“You won’t forget what has happened nor should you try. There are things in the world best not understood. Things too foul to be given names. Let it return to the darkness.”

“waiting…this whole time. Waiting for me to come home…knew I couldn’t stay away forever..”

“I’d been dealing with a lot at home. You remember…Ever seen something that you shouldn’t have? Something you just know instinctually, in your heart that it’s wrong? And now you’ve seen it...you can never go back to how it was before. Does that make any sense?”

“You were gone. You could have stayed gone.” “Curiosity got the better of me, I guess. Figured after 13 years it might be safe to come home…Trust me when I say I didn’t have a choice. I only did what I thought was best at the time.”
“Look I don’t know what you went through. I’m not even sure I want to. If you weren’t ready to deal with the consequences, maybe you shouldn’t have returned.”

“Why did you come back?”
“That’s not the right question. You should be asking why did I leave…The lake hasn’t changed at all has it?”
“Everything changes, Emil. Even if we don’t notice.”

“Most people are afraid of things they don’t understand…”

“Then people turn the suffering of women into entertainments like ghost stories. Probably due to the limitation of medical care and welfare at the time.”
“The ghost of a woman who was abused by society and her family”.

Damn spitting facts. “Abused female comes back to haunt you…ghosts cursing the living because of asshole men…the result of social factors and misconceptions like feudalism, femicide and lookism. It’s so typical to say that the woman lost her mind but it’s just a misconception about mental illness.”

Boyyyy why are we surprised ghostly things appear in your home if you take home creepy movie posters and use them as wallpaper

I really loved the first story. Haunting and beautifully foretold. Realistic life horror intertwined with cultural folk tales. The real horror being a man rather than the ‘kappa’.

Terminadas las historias americanas y debo decir que están entretenidas, aunque la segunda historia no pasa nada y además ocurre cosas rápidas sin poderse desarrollar por completo el conflicto. La primera historia de esta tanda fue de mis favoritas y debo decir que fue agradable este concepto y espero que vuelvan a hacerlo en otro momento

Mis opiniones sobre las historias japonesas, ya que este tomo recopila 6 historias (3 japonesas y 3 estadounidenses).

Me gustaron mucho y son el punto fuerte hasta el momento. El tercero es, artísticamente hablando, uno de mis favoritos, y el terror es muy llevadero y funcional.

Espero que las estadounidenses sean iguales
