Status Updates From The Ear, the Eye, and the Arm

It received near perfect reviews across the group, as we read this out loud. I’ve been a Farmer fan for nearly 27 years or so, so I was glad it was well enjoyed.

This enthralled me as a kid but it's much clunkier than I remember... Sure, it's a middle grade reader but also the main characters are of that golden-age YA mold where they're all a little too precocious and rigidly archetypical - the reluctant one, the bratty one, the baby - sort of if The Boxcar Children were set in afrofuturistic Zimbabwe. Fun to read a chapter once in a while but boring to read straight through.
