That's silly. It's even more likely that someone with the knowledge in the back of his mind that he was primary beneficiary would be spurred to murder by "that scene"

If this were a different book, I'd hand the man a cigar and say mazel tov, because the conclusion would be obvious. If Miss Silver ventures to suggest such a thing, I'll eat whoever's hat is available.
