Skipped a few pages on the theories of morality. At some point we come close to concluding that the small percentage of sociopaths is useful for the survival of the species when we hit dire circumstances to make the ruthless decisions that then become necessary, but alas we read about 'the species survival problems created by the 4 percent'.

Hannah's story (not her real name) kept me reading past my bedtime. While she had the risk of inheriting her fathers lack of conscience she luckily turned out fine. Included not only as an exemplary tale but also to honor the resilience of (indirect) victims of sociopaths.

I do not often add annotations into books, but in this one when environmental factors on sociopathy were discussed, which on average contribute about 50% of its proclivity next to hereditary factors I could not help to write 'LEAD' into the margin. The thing is I also read Murderland which is sort of a study on this subject.
